Roscoe Vance was born in a backroom bar somewhere between the Mississippi Delta and a dream. He learned rhythm before he learned words, beating time on the legs of old wooden chairs while his mother hummed gospel and his father fixed radios that never quite worked right. By the time he turned sixte...en, Roscoe could make an audience cry with three notes and a pause. He didn’t play fast — he played true.
