Tupac Amaru Shakur, also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor who was born on June 16, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York. He is widely considered one of the most influential rappers of all time, and has sold over 75 million records released his debut album, '2Pacalypse Now,' in November 1991, which featured storytelling on singles such as 'Trapped' and 'Brenda's Got a Baby'. He was also known for his socially conscious lyrics, addressing issues such as poverty, racism, and violence. In addition to his music career, 2Pac was also an actor, appearing in films such as 'Poetic Justice' and 'Above the Rim'.
