What is a trustline?
A trustline is a credit line between two parties on the XRPL. It enables the issuer to send tokens to the holder. The holder can also send tokens back to the issuer. Trustlines are essential for trading tokens on the XRPL.

Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) are a new type of fungible token on the XRPL that don't require trustlines. Unlike traditional tokens, MPTs can be sent directly to any account without the recipient needing to set up a trustline first.
