About XRPR
REX-Osprey XRP ETF (XRPR) is an XRP exchange-traded fund issued by REX Shares / Osprey Funds and listed on Cboe BZX. Unlike a spot fund it does not hold XRP directly: it is structured under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and gets its exposure through a subsidiary and other XRP exchange-traded products. XRPR launched on Sep 18, 2025. That indirect structure can add a second layer of fees and cause its return to track XRP less closely than a fund holding the token outright.
REX-Osprey XRP ETF was among the first US funds to give investors XRP exposure, and it uses a different legal structure from the pure spot funds that followed. Rather than holding XRP alone, it is built under the 1940 Act and gets part of its exposure through a subsidiary and other XRP exchange-traded products.
That structure is the main thing to understand about XRPR. It means your exposure is partly indirect, held through other XRP products rather than tokens alone, which can introduce a second layer of fees and cause tracking to differ from a pure spot fund. Its expense ratio also sits above the cheaper spot options.

Frequently Asked Questions
XRPR is REX-Osprey XRP ETF, an XRP ETF from REX Shares / Osprey Funds listed on Cboe BZX. It is not a spot fund: it holds its XRP exposure indirectly, through a subsidiary and other XRP exchange-traded products, rather than holding the token itself.
XRPR charges an annual expense ratio of 0.49%. The fee is taken out of the fund's assets automatically, so you do not pay it separately. Lower expense ratios matter most for long-term holders.
Not directly. XRPR holds its XRP exposure through a subsidiary and other XRP exchange-traded products rather than custodying XRP itself, so you are one step further from the token than with a spot fund.
Buying XRPR gives you XRP price exposure inside a brokerage account, with no wallet, private keys or crypto exchange needed, but you pay the fund's annual fee and can only trade during market hours. Buying XRP directly on the XRP Ledger means you own the asset itself, can self-custody it, trade 24/7 and use it across the XRPL ecosystem.
That depends on your goals and risk tolerance. XRP is a volatile asset, and ETF structures add their own considerations such as fees and, for leveraged funds, daily rebalancing effects.
